1. Who you are agreeing with

postcat is published by Victor Yan, entrepreneur individuel, operating under the trade name Caralatte Studio.

In these terms, “we” and “us” mean Victor Yan, and “you” means the person using postcat.

2. What postcat is

postcat connects exactly two people in one private space. A drawing sent by one person appears on the other person’s Home Screen widget, and both people can look back at what they sent each other.

There is no public feed, follower list, or public profile. Keep your invite code between the two of you, and only pair with someone who wants to share a space with you.

3. Who can use it

You must be at least 13 and meet any higher minimum age that applies where you live. If you cannot enter this agreement on your own under local law, a parent or guardian needs to authorise your use.

The age for consenting to certain uses of personal data is a separate question, explained in our privacy policy.

No email or password is needed to get started. postcat creates an account identifier to connect you to your shared space. Keep your device and access details safe, and contact us if someone uses them without your permission. Recovery on another phone can depend on your partner approving the request.

4. Your drawings stay yours

You keep your rights to the drawings and photos you send. You give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free permission to store, copy, process, and deliver them only to run postcat for you and your partner, including through the providers in our privacy policy.

This is not permission to use your work for something else. It ends when your content is deleted, apart from the limited handling needed to finish deletion or meet a legal obligation.

We do not use drawings to train models, sell them, show them publicly, or use them for advertising.

5. Things you agree not to send

Most of this is common sense. Do not use postcat to send:

• Anything sexual involving a minor
• Content that harasses, threatens, or intimidates the person receiving it
• Content that is illegal where either of you lives
• Someone else’s private images or personal information without their agreement
• Anything you do not have the right to send

Do not break into another space, bypass access or payment checks, or disrupt the service. If something is wrong, write to hello@postcat.me with enough detail to help us investigate, without sending intimate images unnecessarily.

You can stop using the app or delete your account in Settings without your partner’s permission. Leaving a device and deleting an account are different, as explained below. Your partner may notice the change.

6. postcat plus

postcat is free to use. postcat plus is an optional subscription that covers both people in a shared space, so only one person pays.

• The price, duration, and any free period are shown before purchase and can vary by country.
• The store you buy through handles payment: Apple’s App Store on iPhone, or Google Play on Android where available.
• A paid subscription renews automatically unless you cancel before the store’s renewal deadline. Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the paid period.
• Manage or cancel through Apple subscription settings or Google Play subscriptions, using the account that paid.
• A free gift of plus without a store purchase does not start a paid subscription. A store trial follows the renewal terms shown when you accept it.
• When plus ends, both people return to the free plan. Existing drawings are not deleted just because plus ends, although access to the full memory wall is a plus feature.

Deleting the app, leaving a device, or deleting your postcat account does not cancel a store subscription.

For a refund, start with Apple or Google Play, or contact us for help. You keep any statutory withdrawal, refund, and conformity rights that apply. Simply opening the app or accepting these terms does not waive them.

7. Leaving or closing a space

Leaving this device disconnects it but keeps your shared space available for recovery. Deleting your account in Settings removes your account and the postcats you authored from the shared service. Your partner keeps their own drawings, not a separate in-app copy of the drawings you deleted.

We cannot remove screenshots or copies someone saved outside postcat. Image cleanup and records kept by service providers are explained in deleting your data.

We may restrict or close a space used to break the safety rules above, or when the law requires it. Where permitted, we will explain the reason and you can contact us to question the decision.

8. Service limits

Delivery and widget updates depend on your connection, device settings, and operating system. Maintenance or an outage can interrupt them, so postcat is not a way to send urgent or emergency messages.

You keep your statutory rights, including any legal guarantee of conformity for digital services. If postcat does not work as it should, contact us for help; correction, a price reduction, or ending the contract may be available under the conditions set by law. Nothing here excludes or caps responsibility where the law protects your right to a remedy.

Please save a separate copy of any drawing that matters deeply to you.

9. The app stores

These service terms are between you and us. The store’s applicable purchase and app-licence terms also apply, including Apple’s standard app licence where no custom licence is supplied. We provide postcat support at hello@postcat.me.

10. Changes, law, and disputes

We will keep the current terms here with their update date. Material changes will be communicated with the notice and, where required, agreement that the law calls for. Publishing new terms does not by itself let us change a paid subscription or remove your existing rights.

French law applies, without taking away mandatory consumer protections in the country where you live. If something goes wrong, write to hello@postcat.me so we can try to resolve it. You keep access to the courts available under applicable law; you do not have to bring every claim in France.
